MODEL PENINGKATAN KINERJA WIRAUSAHA UMKM ETNIS NON-MELAYU MELALUI MODAL SOSIAL DI KABUPATEN BUNGO (A Preliminary Research)

Abstract


Usaha kecil dan menengah sangat sulit berkembang dan bersaing dengan usaha besar, tetapi beberapa penelitian menemukan modal sosial berpengaruh terhadap kinerja wirausaha pemilik UMKM pada beberapa etnis. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi modal sosial mana yang dapat memberikan peningkatan kinerja wirausaha pemilik UMKM etnis non-Jambi di Kabupaten Bungo. Penelitian ini adalah telaah awal secara teoritis yang nantinya perlu penelitan selanjutnya dengan mengambil populasi dan sampelnya pelaku wirausaha UMKM etnis non-Jambi di Kabupaten Bungo yang memiliki usaha lebih dari 3 tahun dan tercatat di Deperindakop. Berdasarkan parameter yang diperkirakan dalam model, sampel minimal penelitian ini sebanyak 220 responden wirausaha. Teknik analisis data menggunakan pendekatan pemodelan persamaan struktural (structural equation modelling atau SEM. Diharapkan penelitian akan berguna bagi pemerintah dan wirausaha dalam mengambil kebijakan meningkatkan kinerja UMKM dan pembangunan ekonomi.

Abstract:  Small and medium enterprises are hard to develop and compete with large businesses, but several studies have found that social capital affects the entrepreneurial performance of MSME owners many ethnicity. The purpose of this study is to identify which social capital can provide an increase in the entrepreneurial performance of non-Jambi ethnic MSME owners in the Bungo Regency. This research is a preliminary theoretical study by taking the population and samples of non-Jambi ethnic MSME entrepreneurs in Bungo Regency who have a business for more than three years and registered at the Department of Industry and Cooperatives. Based on the parameters estimated in the model, the minimum sample of this research is 220 entrepreneurial respondents. The data analysis technique uses a structural equation modeling (SEM) approach. The research is expected to be used by government policies and entrepreneurs to improve the performance of MSMEs and economic development.
