Abstract
PKM of smallholders in Atan Rayan, Ngabang, Landak, West Kalimantan as one of the centers for independent smallholders in the mandatory ISPO standard. However, independent smallholders face obstacles related to the adoption of farm management, competence, value chains, commercial extension programs, risk and investment management, supervision, and financial access. Therefore, training in making sustainable farming records is one of the efforts to overcome this problem by the following stages: (i) Identification of farmer characteristics; (ii) Introduction of managerial skills in making sustainable farm records; (iii) Demonstration and practice. PKM result shows that the characteristics of independent smallholders affect competence and knowledge; farmers’ ability to record sustainable farming is still not satisfactory. However, the training has significantly boosted ISPO-related knowledge and skills, knowledge and completeness of legality documents, smallholders' organization and farm management, environmental management and monitoring, and sustainable improvement in farm business by local governments and higher education institutions support.
