Jurnal Sains Agro diterbitkan oleh Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Muara Bungo. seluruh artikel yang diterima melalui proses review oleh mitra babestari. Terbit secara online dan bebas untuk dibaca dan diakses.

Peer Review Process

Semua naskah yang dikirim dibaca dan ditelaah awal oleh oleh editor pelaksana.

Naskah yang tidak sesuai dengan kriteria jurnal langsung ditolak tanpa melalui tinjauan oleh Mitra bebestari.

Naskah yang dinilai baik oleh tim editor akan dikirimkan ke tim review dengan metode blind review.

Tim editor kemudian membuat keputusan berdasarkan rekomendasi pengkaji dari beberapa kemungkinan: ditolak, memerlukan revisi Mayor, perlu revisi minor, atau diterima.

Pemimpin Redaksi dan tim editor Jurnal berhak untuk memutuskan naskah mana yang layak untuk diterbitkan diterbitkan

Publication Ethics

Jurnal Sains Agro (JSA) is the official scientific publication of the ISSN from LIPI which is managed by the agrotechnology Study Program of the Faculty of Agriculture, Muara Bungo University. The Jurnal Sains Agro publishes two editions for each volume in each year, namely April and November, JSA publishes the results of original research, thesis, thesis and review articles in the fields of agriculture. JSA also accepts scientific work from outside as long as it meets the criteria of this publication. The author is expected to send his writings that have never been published. The scope of JSA covers the field of agronomy, horticulture, nurseries, Soil Science, agroforestry, plant protection, plant diversity and the environment. This statement of scientific code of ethics is a statement of code of ethics for all parties involved in the process of publishing scientific journals in this journal, namely managers, editors, peer-reviewers, and writers. The statement of code of ethics for scientific publications is based on the Head of LIPI Regulation No. 5 of 2014 concerning the Code of Ethics for Scientific Publications, which in essence is a Code of Conduct for Scientific Publications upholding three ethical values in publications, namely (i) Neutrality, which is free from conflicts of interest in managing publications ; (ii) Justice, namely to give authorship rights to those who are entitled as writers; and (iii) Honesty, which is free from duplication, fabrication, forgery, and plagiarism (DF2P) in publications.

 

Publication Statement and Malpractice Ethics

The Agri Science Journal is a peer-reviewed journal. This statement is a clarification of the ethical behavior of all parties involved in publishing this journal article, including the authors, editor in chief, editorial board, peer reviewers and publishers. This statement is based on the COPE Best Practices Guidelines for Journal Editor.


Confidentiality

Every article received must be treated as a confidential document. Each editor, editorial staff, and reviewer must not disclose any information about the text sent to anyone other than the author concerned, reviewers, prospective reviewers, advisors and other editorial publishers, as appropriate. They cannot be displayed or discussed with others except as authorized by the editor.

 

Disclosure and conflict of interest

Editor

Unpublished material disclosed in the text submitted may not be used in the editor's own research without the written consent of the author.

 

Peer-Reviewer

Information or special ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal gain. Reviewers may not consider texts where they have a conflict of interest arising from competition, collaboration, or other relationships or connections with the authors, companies or institutions connected with the paper.

 

Author

All authors must disclose in their manuscripts any other financial or substantive conflict of interest that might be interpreted to affect the results or interpretation of their manuscript. All sources of financial support for the project must be disclosed.


Originality and Plagiarism

The authors must ensure that they have written the original work in its entirety, and if the author has used the work and / or words of others that this has been quoted or quoted correctly.


Duties and Responsibilities of Journal Managers

  1. Determine editorial board membership and be free of conflicts of interest.
  2. Respect confidential issues, both for researchers, writers, editors, and contributing reviewers.
  3. Applying norms and provisions regarding intellectual property rights, especially copyright.
  4. Conduct a policy review journal and present it to the author, editorial board, bestari partners, and readers.
  5. Publish journals regularly.

 

Editor's Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Meet the needs of readers and writers.
  2. Strive to continuously improve the quality of publications.
  3. Implement a process to guarantee the quality of published papers.
  4. Prioritize freedom of opinion objectively.
  5. Maintain the integrity of the writer's academic track record.
  6. Send corrections, clarifications, withdrawals, and apologies if needed.
  7. Responsible for the style and format of writing, while the content and all statements in the paper are the responsibility of the author.
  8. Actively soliciting the opinions of writers, readers, reviewers, and editorial board members to improve the quality of publications.
  9. Encourage journal assessment if there are findings.
  10. Support initiatives to reduce research and publication errors.
  11. Support initiatives to educate researchers about the ethics of publications.
  12. Assess the impact of published policies on the attitudes of authors and reviewers and improve them to increase responsibility and minimize errors.
  13. Have an open mind to other people's opinions or new views that may conflict with personal opinions.
  14. Don't defend their own opinions, writers or third parties that can lead to decisions that are not objective.
  15. Advise the author, to make improvements so that it is feasible to get published papers.

 

Peer-Reviewer Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Perform the editor's task to review the paper and present the results of the review to the editor, as determining the eligibility of the paper for publication.
  2. Reviewers may not review papers that involve them, either directly or indirectly.
  3. Maintain privacy by not spreading the results of corrections, suggestions, and recommendations of the author.
  4. Encourage the writer to make improvements to the substance of the paper to produce a decent scientific work.
  5. Review the paper that has been repaired in accordance with the specified standards.
  6. Written papers are reviewed on time according to the style of confinement published based on scientific rules (data collection methods, author's legality, conclusions, etc.).

 

Duties and Responsibilities of the Author

  1. Ensure that what is included in the list of authors meets the criteria as an author. All who have made significant contributions must be registered as co-authors.
  2. Collective responsibility for the work and content of the article, including methods, analysis, calculations and details.
  3. State the origin of the resources (including funding), both directly and indirectly.
  4. Explain the limitations of research.
  5. Correct recognition of the work of others must always be given. Authors must cite influential publications in determining the nature of the work reported.
  6. Respond to comments made by reviewers in a professional and timely manner.
  7. Tell the editor if he will pull the paper.
  8. Make a statement that the paper sent for publication is original, has never been published anywhere in any language, and is not in the process of being submitted to another publisher.
  9. If the work involves chemicals, procedures or equipment that have unusual hazards inherent in their use, the author must clearly identify this in the text.
  10. When an author discovers significant errors or inaccuracies in his self-published work, it is the author's obligation to immediately notify the journal editor or publisher and work with the editor to retract or correct the paper.
